1982-85   BA first class hons 3D Design (furniture), Middlesex Polytechnic.

Awards:

2016  European Healthcare Design Awards - Three Bridges  highly commended (with Willis Newson) for Interior Design & Art.

2015 - 2016  Crafts Council Injection programme participant.

2008  Reflect Forward Award and lottery grant for a solo exhibition at Craft Central, based on the Wellcome Archives.

2006  Arts Council grant for Inspirational Objects – nature as designer exhibition.

1990  Mc Coll’s Art Foundation Travel Bursary to go to India to study Dhokra metal casting.

1987  Second prize in ‘British Design in Japan’ Lamp section (Design Council). ‘Mirror lamp.’ 

1985  Princess of Wales Award-RCA (For the most distinguished female entrant of the year).

2020-2021 Commission to create a design scheme for two mental health wards in Yeovil, Somerset.

2019 Commission for large exterior art work for Charlton Woods Primary Academy, Bristol.

2018 -2020 Commission for wallpapers for Brighton’s 3Ts hospital - one of 12 artists commissioned by Willis Newson

2017 Commission for large mural in the Glassroom Classroom in Golders Hill Park.

2016 Illustration for Spaces collection developed and used by Brighton Hospital Bereavement suite and Small Brook Care Home for early onset dementia.

2006- 2016 Collaborative work with Christiane Kersten - printed ceramics. Sold or exhibited in around 50 shops and galleries throughout the UK.

2015-2016 Developing new range of handmade ceramic – first shown at MADE London

2015 Project for Hillingdon Hospital Nuclear Medicine Department. Photographic collages in collaboration with Steve Speller

2014-2016 Project for Ealing Health Trust with David Morley Architects for Three Bridges Medium SecurePsychiatric Unit, including large vinyl wall pieces, wall poems, enamel panels and table-tops.

2012- 2013 Project for Macmillan Cancer Trust with ADP Architects including large vitreous enamel illustrative panels, bespoke splash backs, large Formica table, window manifestations, bespoke crockery and uniform scarves.

2012-2013 Project for Yorkshire Sculpture Park, designing a range of merchandise for the shop to be sold in conjunction with the Yinka Shonibare Exhibition.

2012 -2013 Project for Rathfinny Vineyard, East Sussex: developing branded products including ceramics, textiles  and stationary

2011 Designed 10 products for Habitat in conjunction with BBC 2’s ‘The Next Big Thing’.

2007 Commission from Royal Doulton to design contemporary vases and bowls for the prestige Flambé range in partnership with Christiane Kersten.
